Paula shares her journey with Long COVID and how it’s devastated her life, yet how she keeps going, stays positive and finds purpose. She talks about her symptoms and how the cognitive dysfunction is like a brain injury, how COVID affected her ability to walk and how supportive her workplace and family have been with her illness and return to work. Paula explains that while its ok to be sad, angry or depressed as these emotions are normal, being honest with yourself, learning how to rest, practicing acceptance and managing the illness is important. She also shares how having a sense of humour about the symptoms helps to take the fear from it all.
